Link Friday!

To take you into the (holiday) weekend, check out these links to what’s happening in the world of books:

Delacorte Press is releasing a collection of Kurt Vonnegut’s previously-unpublished short stories. The book will include original illustrations by Vonnegut himself and is slated for release in November 2009.

Seth Grahame-Smith is blowing up the book world with his “mash-up” novel, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies (best cover ever?). Seriously, everyone’s talking about it, and the latest news is a rumored two-book deal with Grand Central Press. Classic literature + monsters = insta-hit. Who knew?

Want to be a literary agent for a day? Hurry up and head on over to the always charming Nathan Bransford’s blog, where you’ll finally have your chance!

Yen at The Book Publicity Blog explains the difference between advertising and publicity.

And finally, in the shameless plug category, publicist Shelby Sledge at Phenix & Phenix posted today about her trip to New York to attend the launch of Jack Ford’s new book, The Osiris Alliance (released on April 23). Jack’s book is published under our Ovation Books imprint, and we’re excited about the upcoming campaign.

Have a great weekend, everyone!
